Pearl Jam is united with the global support for the Paris attack victims. Their 2002 'Riot Act' album song 'Love Boat Captain' has been reworked with reference to the many lives lost of the said terror attack. The lyrics of the song is said to have been changed and is dedicated to the victims of the horrendous Paris attacks.
Pearl Jam is currently on tour in South America and Mexico, and to show support to the victims of the Paris attacks, the band reworked their song 'Love Boat Captain' in accordance to what the recent incursion happened in the said city. According to Billboard, Eddie Vedder revealed some of the newly altered lyrics of the song which is a conformity to the tragic incident.
The alteration of 'Love Boat Captain' lyrics is for the purpose of honoring the victims who died in the attacks. As the world mourns for the said loss, Pearl Jam is also in support of this bereavement. In the context of loss, Eddie Vedder expressed his grief and dedicated the lyrics to the people who reportedly killed at Friday's Eagles of Death Metal show at Le Bataclan in Paris, Entertainment Weekly featured.
Pearl Jam also took the emotional song during their performance in Sao Paulo in Brazil. Loudwire cited that the band's vocalist has also shared some heartwarming message to the audience. He also expressed that one of their merch guys, Nick Alexander, was also killed during the attack and thus belonged to the number of casualties reported.
Pearl Jam and the rest of the world is mourning about the said loss in the Paris attacks. Their reworked song 'Love Boat Captain' is one of the best dedications the band has given in accordance with the said attack as they also have lost a dear friend in the attacks. Moreover, the band will be continuing their tour all throughout South America and Brazil.
