In an announcement made by Maine Pointe today, the operations management provider named Steven Koinis as its new Executive Vice President of Private Equity. The appointment of Koinis is the latest of his numerous posts held within the past decade, including leadership of a total of US$7 billion worth of transactions.
Maine Pointe partners with private equity firms on a continuum during the ownership period (100-180 days) up to 6-9 months before the firms' exit.
The new vice president will lead the strategic and functional aspects of the company's private equity, which Maine Pointe considers to be its strongest division. Koinis will offer new perspectives on global private equity and real estate, hospitality, banking, investment and underperforming assets, said the company's press statement.
Koinis led the growth of several companies starting from their launch until reaching a market value of US$1 billion. He served as an asset manager, initiating placement strategies on different asset classes.
He holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
