The 2014 Moto Turbo model of Motorola is now expected to proceed to the soak test of Android 6.0 Marshmallow software following a head start of Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and Moto G (2014) in other parts of the world. The model had been reported since the past months to receive the upgrade before 2015 ends.
Motorola is giving its patrons another exciting teaser by revealing that two of its devices will be kicking off a soak test in Brazil and India. This means that soak test for other devices including the 2014 Moto Turbo is coming up very soon.
As it was reported since September, the device will be getting the Marshmallow upgrade in November or December. Although there has been no official statement from the Taiwanese giant yet, reports already claimed the probability of releasing Android 6.0 Marshmallow this year.
According to the software support page of Motorola, the 2014 Moto Turbo has currently pending partner support. In this phase, the company and its partner mobile carriers are on the verge of incorporating their respective software updates with the new Android build. Preparation of the official release will commence through the soak test to ensure best quality Marshmallow experience.
Other Motorola models expected to hit the process include the 2015 Moto G (3rd Gen), the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), the 2015 Moto X Style (3rd Gen), the 2015 Moto X Play, the 2014 Moto X Pure Edition (2nd Gen) in the US, the 2014 Moto X (2nd Gen) in Latin America, Europe and Asia, the 2014 Moto G (2014), the 2014 (Moto G) with LTE, DROID Turbo, the 2014 Moto MAXX, and the Nexus 6.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in additional new features and improvements from Lollipop.
This includes Doze Mode, a power saving feature; improve app permissions; more mobile payment support for Android Pay; better app link process; more intuitive Google Now; and more.
