In "Chicago Fire" Season 4 Episode 7 , Kelly Severide gets a surprise visit from his father Benny, who tells him something about Captain Patterson that could be the game changer in his feud with him. Meanwhile, Chief Boden believes he has been set up with a case that could cause him his job and could land him in jail.
According to Franchise Herald, Severide is still being punished for insubordination by Captain Patterson from the previous episode. However, after a chat with his father who is a former colleague of Patterson, he found some interesting information on him that Severide may be able to use to his advantage.
It is not yet known if Severide is willing to resort to blackmail in order to get Patterson off his back but this could be the only way to get off his probation and even get his old position back.
In the previous episode of "Chicago Fire" Season 4, Severide and Patterson's conflict and rivalry put a person's life at risk.The two argued over an unconscious man with a bleeding head which only made their mission more critical.
It was clear that Patterson was at fault and made a wrong call. However, when Severide confronted him about it, he was punished instead for insubordination.
Severide was already upset because Patterson was treating him like a normal firefighter candidate when he was a former head of Rescue Squad 3 reports IB Times. Severide thought that he had already proven his skills as an efficient firefighter and didn't need all the basic training.
The previous episode also saw Chief Boden get into trouble after a woman, who was paid by Chief Ray Riddle, set him up reports MNR Daily. In the coming episode however, Boden will figure things out and is able to get rid of Riddle and the bogus case against him.
Despite the grim situations that Severide and Boden found themselves in, the synopsis for "Chicago Fire" Episode 4 Episode 7 reveals that romance will find a couple of firefighters in the Chicago Fire Department Gala. It is not clear however, who among the firefighters will become romantically involved with each other.
