Nine business associations partnered with the National Agency for Investment and Privatization of Belarus. The parties will discuss future strategies and cooperative ventures to attract more foreign investments in the European country.

The participants addressed the ways and plans proposed by the Belorussian government to gain more traction in the international investing scene. The associations cited more efficient cooperation between the members and foreign partners. According to the NAIP, the businesses in the country need to expand into untapped markets and broaden the range of their business activities to boost the foreign investments in the country.

Some of the associations present in the meet were the Minsk Union of Entrepreneurs, the Belorussian Scientific and Industrial Association, the Kunyavsky Business Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, and the European Business Association, among others.

Established in May 2012 under the Decree No. 273, the National Agency for Investment and Privatization was created by the Belorussian government to assist in the attraction of FDIs and monitor the policies for investment and privatizations.
