Many fans were shocked when Piper Shaw (Amelia Rose Blaire) turned out to not only as the killer but Emma Duval's (Willa Fitzgerald) half-sister in "Scream". Though Piper was killed in season 1, there are speculations that she may have an accomplice and that he or she can be anywhere, even just near them. Meanwhile, no specific release date has been released for "Scream" season 2.

Emma's character will be much stronger and fiercer in season 2 following the attack on her by Piper. Thanks to Audrey Jensen (Bex Taylor-Klaus), Emma is still alive and breathing. But Audrey, according to TV Line, might be the possible accomplice of Piper.

In a TV Line interview with the series' executive producer Jill Blotevogel, she revealed the possibility of Audrey becoming the villain in season 2.

"We discussed a lot of possibilities - a lot of single killers and a lot of partnerships. Audrey was a character who was always a really interesting possibility for us. The episode where she was a big suspect really played beautifully, because it showed us that we were really starting to care for this character." Blotevogel said.

She also added that Emma will be having a stronger character in season 2, much Sarah Connor's transition from Terminator to T2. Emma will also be more defensive and guarded and that her relationship with her mother is going to evolve.

Piper, on the other hand, may have died in season 1 yet reports suggest that she will be back through flashbacks, according to Youth Health Mag.

Meanwhile, there is no official statement yet on the release date of season 2. It has been noted that the showrunners have changed weeks ago, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Blotevogel however will remain as consultant of the show while partner Jaime Paglia will no longer be involved in the show.

Scream season 2 will premiere on MTV.
