"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" has been extended by The CW as the network ordered more episodes than what was initially planned for the first season of the show. Many are also commending the series, saying that every woman should watch it.
According to Playbill, The CW has picked up their new musical comedy series and instead of the first season airing only 13 episodes, it was extended to five more. The network, however, has not announced yet if the show will have a second season.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" is about this woman named Rebecca Bunch, played by Rachel Bloom who is also one of the directors of the show, who is a successful and driven young woman in Manhattan. She "impulsively gives up everything in a desperate attempt to find love and happiness." She has moved to the romantic and adventurous city of West Covina, California. The show also stars Santino Fontana, Pete Gardner, Vincent Rodriguez III, Vella Lovell, and Donna Lynne Champlin.
Complex shared that a lot of people are getting hooked on this musical-comedy show from the start, specifically with the theme song as it's already catchy and funny. In the theme song's cartoonish video, people call her the crazy ex-girlfriend and pointed out that it is a sexist term.
Even if the title is a bit offensive, the show is the complete opposite of it. It has been reported that Rebecca is this partner at a New York law firm but that does not make her happy. She then panics after the announcement was made and runs away from her new responsibilities. She is not giving up her career for a guy but because she actually wants a better life.
As for the latest episode of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," Channel Guide Magazine reported that Dr. Phil makes a cameo appearance, Paula has a new client, Josh moves in with Valencia, and Rebecca becomes depressed. Josh is the man that Rebecca likes and of course, news that he has moved in with another woman has made her very annoyed and upset.
Due to this, Rebecca then goes to a psychiatrist, who is Dr. Phil, who made her realize that Josh does not want her so she takes this pink pill, which is an upper.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" has gotten five extra episodes for season 1 and the latest episode showed Josh moving in with Valencia making Rebecca very upset. The show airs on The CW Monday nights at 8.
