"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 9 saw Sheldon and Amy together again but they only went out as friends during Thanksgiving. The fans of the show saw Sheldon rejecting Amy's proposal that they get back together again romantically and Mayim Bialik talked about the latter's heartbreak.
According to Christianity Daily, the episode entitled "The Platonic Permutation" saw Sheldon and Amy hanging out at an aquarium buffet and it seems that the latter missed the company of her former boyfriend.
Amy and Sheldon felt happy on how they spent Thanksgiving but Sheldon made it clear that he wants them to stay friends when his former girlfriend wanted to be his romantic partner again. Sheldon was heard saying that he excels in many things but getting over Amy was not one of them, International Business Times shared.
Bialik talked about the episode in her blog Groknation and she wrote: "The hardest part about this episode is that in the final scene, we see Amy mistakenly assuming that since she was the one to throw the brakes on the relationship that Sheldon was simply waiting for her to hit the gas again."
She added that she herself got hurt when Sheldon told Amy he is not yet ready to open himself up again. Bialik added that Amy's scene looked really sad as when she was acting the part, she really felt it. Bialik continued, "What I can tell you is that I think I am actually a very bad actor because a truly good actor would be able to act heartbroken when they weren't. I acted heartbroken because I felt it very deeply."
More on Sheldon and Amy, Design & Trend said that the December 17 episode of "The Big Bang Theory" will be about the much-loved couple getting back together and making love. Steve Molaro, the show's executive producer, shared "After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship. And we're so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes."
"The Big Bang Theory" will see Sheldon and Amy getting back together in one of the December episodes of the show. The series airs Thursdays at 8 PM on CBS.
