The CBS tv network officially ordered more episodes for "Code Black" Season 1 because of impressive ratings of the show. In more news, an actor is set to make an appearance in the upcoming episode but his character is still unknown plus the official plot has been noted.
CBS ordered 5 more episodes for "Code Black" Season 1 making it an 18-episode run. Also, Lincoln Castellanos is set to guest star in the showm however, his role is still unknown while the official plot for episode 9 has been released.
According to Deadline, CBS Network officially ordered 5 more episodes from "Code Black" Season 1's original 13-episode run, hence, the freshman medical TV series will now have 18 episodes. It can be recalled that the network also ordered 6 back-up scripts for the show a few months ago. It is also reported that the latest episode has garnered almost 7 million views and a 1.2 rating. The show's overall rating also increased also increased to 67% and 3 million viewers in the Live +7 day ratings.
Other than that, Lincoln Castellanos is going to appear in "Code Black" this Wednesday episode as a guest star, as reported on The Desert Sun. However, Castellanos' character has not been announced yet.
As per the official synopsis for episode 9 of the show's first season, The Futon Critic notes, "When the lead actor of The Lion King tour arrives at Angels Memorial with a throat infection, Dr. Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) gives him a diagnosis that puts both his career and life in jeopardy. Also, the doctors and the cast of The Lion King help a 17-year-old boy deal with the difficult decision of taking his father off life support."
