NVIDIA is bound to release another tablet called the NVIDIA Shield Tablet X1. This device has been recently spotted on the GFXBench test featuring a Tegra X1 chipset, 3GB of RAM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and other amazing specs.
According to Android Geeks, the NVIDIA has been speculated to be working on the successor of the Shield Tablet K1 earlier this year. Way back then, the talks have suggested that the Tegra X1 powered tablet could go official by March. Unfortunately, that didn't quite happen and there were no discussions about the tablet that took place. But now, the upcoming tablet from NVIDIA has finally surfaced online, courtesy of a leaked GFXBench benchmark listing.
NDTV Gadgets cited some of the features that the NVIDIA Shield Tablet X1 might sport based on the benchmark test. This handset is said to carry the NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor that has been lauched during CES 2015 January this year .
This device is engineered with an 8-core 64-bit CPU (4x Cortex-A57 + 4x Cortex-A53) as well as a 256-core Maxwell-based GPU, and is claimed to be the first mobile chip to provide a teraflop of processing power. The upcoming tablet would also feature an 8-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display and a 3GB RAM.
Tech Times added that the NVIDIA Shield Tablet X1 might run on the Google's latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow as it comes out of the box. This tablet might also have a 32 GB of in-built storage and support for both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as a GPS feature to boot.
As for the Tablet X1's release, it was reported that NVIDIA is yet to announce an official release date. But seeing that the year is almost up, it is most probably safe to believe that the NVIDIA Shield Tablet X1 will hit the market shelves sometime in early 2016.
