2016 could look much brighter for fans who are itching to get their hands on Kingdom Hearts 3 now that 2015 is coming to a close. A new leak emerged that the game's pre-order will be open starting this December and this latest reveal hints that the next main entry to the populr action RPG series will be launched next year.
Latino Post reports that giant retailer Amazon has released a list of upcoming titles that will be available for pre-order on its website including the much awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 and tagged for $59.99 retail price. If this leaked listing is proved to be true, it is very likely that the game's launching will take place in 2016.
However, it is safer to note that Square Enix has not confirmed the official release date of the game to date other than the title being playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
Meanwhile, speculations build up relentlessly online about new features, possible worlds, and game mechanics that will likely make it to Kingdom Hearts 3. In a new YouTube video posted by The Gamers Joint, the poster indicated that the Daybreak Town might be part of the new KH title.
The reported poster revealed that a special D23 footage was said to show the 'making' of the game and include a 3D stylized version of Day Break Town. It is noted in the video such won't have been there if the game developer doesn't have plans to feature Daybreak Town in Kingdom Hearts 3.
In more news reported by Pixel Dynamo, Square Enix responded to some of fan questions in a recent Q&A forum. As for the new mechanics, lead game designer and combat planner Yuji Kenichiro talked some specifics saying, "There is a gameplay mechanic where you can debilitate enemies by destroying parts of their anatomy and it plays an important role in battle."
"It is possible to make these kinds of attacks against specific areas on gigantic monsters by either striking them directly using the warp ability or by positioning yourself by the enemy's vulnerable spots using parrying actions against their attacks," Kenichiro added.
Back at D23 Japan Expo in early November, some new screenshots were released showing central protagonist Sora with Donald and Goofy at a Shooting Ride attraction which appeared similar to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride in Disneyland. This has led a lot of fans and game pundits to speculate that Kingdom Hearts 3 worlds will also include Toy Story.
Develped by Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts 3 is the latest installment of the KH series expected to hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC around late 2016 or early 2017.
