Another revolutionary title, Pokémon Picross is ready to storm the fans in a few days' time. With the release date announced by Nintendo, fans are to know what the title is about and how it may differ from the other previous titles.
As reported by Latin Post, Pokémon Picross will make itself known all over the world of Nintendo 3DS after a few days, specifically on December 3rd, 2015. That being said, avid followers of the series that have heard of the title's existence are beyond excited for the game to land on its corresponding platform-there are still some, however, that are yet to find out what the new installment is about.
According to IGN, Pokémon Picross is essentially a puzzle game, wherein the players are to solve the puzzles to reveal a particular Pokémon which they can add to their collection. The concept is generally as plain as it can get, but in order to complete a puzzle more efficiently, players can use the skills of their Pokémon to reveal the puzzle. One example would be Lucario's Hyper Scan skill proves to be an advantage, as it can typically scan the grid, and even fix incorrect squares-and Squirtle, in the same manner, can use his Blue Force will change the color of hint numbers to blue on rows with squares that can be filled.
It was delivered by Vine Report that though the game can be acquired free on the eShop, the Picrites, which are valuable rare stones that permit players to gain access around more areas, as well as unlocking new levels in the game, are available for purchase by using real money. There are also non-purchase ways to attain the said Picrites, such as clearing a puzzle.
Though gamers can use their Pokémon to aid in solving a puzzle, it cannot be used over and over again as pleased. Pokémon lose their power after a particular contribution to the puzzle, and will require a cool down period to regain the powered status and use them again. Players can use twelve various skills with their own feats to reveal the puzzle's creature, with the right application.
Pokémon Picross has over three hundred puzzles to unveil, still excluding the advanced mode of the game. There will also be Mega-Evolved Pokémon from the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire offering a more challenging field for the players, along with Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. Pokémon Picross will hit the shelves on December 3, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
