Dark Souls III Last in the Dark Souls Series; Hidetaki Miyazaki Talks Reason Behind Conclusion

As Dark Souls III has showed fans what it is generally about, From Software enlightens people more of what it may become. Given that the previous expansions of the series has somewhat subsided reputation embedded on it, gamers are skeptical towards the upcoming title, but at the same time, curious of its well-being.

According to Geek Snack, Dark Souls III has grazed fans over the past months as it made its way to the anticipating minds of gamers everywhere. As it promises more information while it heads towards its awaited release date-whether visual or written, one factor that recently became a target of controversy would be the possible conclusion of the Dark Souls franchise. The tendency of the expansion to be the last in line is one feat that has reached the fans, and From Software looks to explain as to why.

Tech Times noted that Series Director Hidetaki Miyazaki was quoted, "I don't think it'd be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating Souls and Bloodborne games. I'm considering Dark Souls 3 to be the big closure on the series. That's not just limited to me, but From Software and myself together want to aggressively make new things in the future...Dark Souls 3 is an important marker in the evolution of From Software."

Delivered by Siliconera, the changes that are to be applied for Dark Souls III are based off what the franchise may have failed to deliver before. It can be remembered that Demon's Souls was anticipated to be a success back in 2009, but did not meet the expectations of a user-friendly title. From Software then went to create expansions for the franchise, thus, spawning Dark Souls and the preceding.

One of the advantages that Dark Souls has apart from the vast open-world attributes would be the existence of the title on other platforms. Dark Souls 2 was then recalled as an utter success, contradictory to Demon's Souls which phased out quite rapidly. To give credit to the series, there has been over five games within the Souls franchise for the past seven years, making it apparent that the team has worked immensely for the expansions, and it would be understood if it would be the last title.

Dark Souls III is set to hit the market on March 24, 2016. Keep posted for more updates on the title from Bandai Namco and From Software.
