Game developer Ubisoft recently held a question-and-answer forum on its official website to discuss the various important gameplay details of "Tom Clancy's The Division." Among the topics that the studio explained for the upcoming third-person role-playing shooter game are its skills and experience system, weapons customization, and character creations.
In response to the question submitted by Alex from Arekkz Gaming, Ubisoft stated that once players unlock certain abilities during the game, whether in single-player or multiplayer mode, those skills will be automatically added to their character profiles. However, gamers are only allowed to use a maximum of two skills per game.
If they find themselves needing a specific skill to accomplish a task, they can go back to the main menu to equip the ability that they need. This is also the same process when sharing or trading skills with other gamers or their teammates.
As for the weapons that they can use during the game, Ubisoft noted that all players will begin with the basic version of their preferred gun. Eventually, they'll be able to change the overall look of their weapons through various skins and attachments such as optics, magazines and muzzles.
Food World News reported that as players level up in the game by accomplishing assignments, they'll be able to upgrade the effectiveness of their weapons.
In addition, Ubisoft also mentioned that gamers are allowed to create up to four characters in "Tom Clancy's The Division." However, each time a game starts, they will be asked to pick one character that they will play with.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" is not set to come out until next year but gamers can already start pre-ordering the game through various major retail stores. According to Christian Post, those who will purchase the game ahead of its official release will receive bonuses including the Hazmat Gear Set DLC and a guaranteed spot on its closed beta event.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" is scheduled to launch for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms on March 8, 2016.
