Blizzard Entertainment's immensely popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, will be having its sixth and newest expansion entitled Legion. It is reported that aside from the additions such as weapons and mecha minions, one of the most impressive features of the expansion is its enhanced visuals.

Initially announced in August, the expansion shall include the return of the Burning Legion, along with Illidan the Betrayer. Developer Blizzard Entertainment showcased the expansion's trailer during the BlizzCon 2015. The trailer sets the premise for Legion in which the Horde and the Alliance unite and join forces in order to annihilate the Burning Legion. The video showed King Varian Wrynn aboard a ship as it is attacked by the Burning Legion. Furthermore, several major upgrades are expected from the expansion which includes several quests and new zones among others. However, what most gamers will look forward to is the visual enhancements the game will benefit from. Tech Times revealed the increase of draw distances through comparison screenshots provided by a reddit user.

A further report by Christian Post also reveals that a new Hunter per family, along with the Giant Mechanical Rabbit as the gnomes starting pet. These hard to find mecha minions, once found, can be tamed by the gnomes and goblins right away, while other races may be able to control these pets using a device. Moreover, the small, but statured gnomes of Azeroth will be armed with big guns, including high powered rifles, rocket launchers, death rays, and other high-tech weapons.

As Blizzard announces: "Long at the forefront of cutting edge technology in Azeroth, the inventive gnomes are finally ready to break out the big guns. Their propensity for things that go 'bang' and knack for high-tech weapons like rocket launchers, high-powered rifles, and death rays make them perfect candidates for hunting down prey." According to Realty Today, hunters in the previous and current editions of World of Warcraft have the ability to tame other animals and use such pets as part of their offensive capabilities.

Blizzard Entertainment's Legion expansion for the World of Warcraft MMORPG is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2016.
