GoPro was expected to unveil the newest member of the Hero family October this year but for some reasons, it didn't happen. Now, may are predicting for the GoPro Hero 5 to be released next year, featuring a 3D video recording, 3D pictures and a lot more.
According to Christian Today, the GoPro Hero 5 was originally meant to hit the market shelves this past October but was delayed as the developers are still working on some enhancements and tweaks. The device won't even be available by Christmas and still maintains an undetermined 2016 release date.
Some of the features that GoPro Hero 5 might sport have been predicted online and one of the notable one is its capability of taking 3D images and videos. The ability to record 3D videos is somewhat new in consumer ware regardless of being commonplace now for movies. This feature would actually give the GoPro Hero 5 a big advantage over its competitions.
The Hero 5 is also rumored to sport an ultra HD 8K resolution that is twice as clear as the 4K HD resolution seen on the current GoPro Hero 4. Reports suggest that the developers are taking their time on the technology to make sure that recording 8K videos can be done at a full 60 frames per second. This is to guarantee a perfect video quality.
Latinos Post added that the GoPro Hero 5 might also have an improved waterproof capability. This would make the device be able to withstand being submerged under water with up to 60 meters deep. It is also expected to be smaller by up to 50 percent and 40 percent lighter compared to its predecessor, the GoPro Hero 4.
Bidness Etc predicts the possible price of the upcoming sports camera. The upcoming member of Hero family is believed to arrive with a price tag between $400 and $500. But with its improved features, it will no longer be surprising if the company gives a higher price which its monopolistic position may allow it to do.
While it sounds quite costly, the upcoming GoPro Hero 5's highly-advanced features put it on top of the game in video quality. More consumers are expected to purchase the camera now that it has an improved waterproofing and higher resolution.
