Google is set to release its recently launched tablet, Pixel C. and while the new device hasn't officially reached the market yet, some benchmark sites have check on the device which subsequently earned high performance scores.
As reported by Tech Times, the new tablet which debuted in September is set to be released in the market sometime this week. The new device is a hybrid tablet which is rumored to be Google's take on Apple's iPad Pro.
The new tablet will be released two months after the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones and as reported by Latin Post, it will be released as a tablet with an optional Keyboard cover, which will enable the tablet to act more like a laptop when attached.
The forthcoming Google Pixel C is expected to house the Nvidia Tegra X1 processor and will flaunt its 10.1-inch display. Its resolution is at 2,560x1,800 pixels, with a 7MP rear camera, while the front-facing camera is at 2MP. It is also expected to be released with USB Type-C support.
The new laptop and tablet hybrid is also expected to be a power monster, as Slash Gear reported that several benchmark sites had a glimpse of the device. As stated in Geekbench, the new device clocks at 1395 for the single-core score and 4345 for the multi-core score.
While its Tegra X1 processor was cited as one of the highlights of the new device, its RAM was cited as a missed opportunity compared to if Google opted to release the device with 4GB RAM. The new Pixel C was created for the purpose of productivity device like the Chromebook Pixel, although, it runs through Android.
The Google Pixel C will be available in 32GB version and in 64GB variants. The tablet will be released separate from its keyboard with the tablet's expected price to be at $499 and its optional keyboard for $149.
