Two new variants of the upcoming MacBook Air 2016 are rumored to be launched during the Worldwide Developers Conference next year. The latest gadget is rumored to house several updates and improvements but likely not to be released anytime soon.
Apple is rumored to release 13-inch and 15-inch variants for their MacBook Air 2016. According to Tech Times, the new report came from a Taiwan-based daily which also revealed that the new device will be first revealed during the Worldwide Developers Conference 2016 which will take place sometime in June next year.
The new MacBook Air is claimed to be thinner and will house prominent performance which is due to its re-designed internal components. The new device is also speculated to feature a retina display in high resolution. As reported by Gospel Herald, the new device is also said to include Touch ID in its Trackpad as well as Force Touch Upgrade.
It is also speculated to feature Intel's Skylake processor, USB Type-C support as well as the latest OS X EL Capitan. According to Yibada, the news about a retailer's massive discount for the MacBook Air 2015 also added fuel to the fire that the upcoming 2016 version is soon to be released. As reported in the website, B&H Photo is selling the 13-inch MacBook Air for $1,299 with no tax and free shipping.
Also, while much anticipation is circling around the gadget and what it has to offer, it is also rumored that the forthcoming MacBook Air 2016 could also be the last in the series. Apple might divert their attention to developing a new MacBook Pro, thus, putting the MacBook Air series aside.
However, these speculations will be confirmed once the MacBook Air 2016 is officially launched, thus, it would be best to treat these rumors with a grain of salt. The new device is speculated to be released sometime in 2016 in order to avoid dividing the attention for the recently launched iPad Pro tablet.
