Despite announcing that the beta event for "Tom Clancy's The Division" has been delayed, developer Ubisoft confirmed that it is ready to proceed with the closed alpha test for the game this week. The test event, however, will only be open for Xbox One gamers.
As a closed alpha event, only selected gamers will be allowed to test the upcoming third-person role-playing shooter. On the other hand, those who already pre-ordered the game for the Xbox One may get the chance to participate in the test. Ubisoft noted through its Ubi Blog that it has already begun sending out entry codes to selected gamers who have been chosen to join the exclusive event.
The alpha test will take place from December 9 to 12, 2015. It will mark the first time that the public or non-members of the development team will be able to see and play certain sections of "The Division." Because of this, Ubisoft advised gamers to refrain from posting and sharing images or videos taken during the test procedure. As for the lucky few who will get the chance to test out the game, the developer stated that they'll be able to play through various areas for the player-vs-player mode of the game.
The game's closed beta, on the other hand, was supposed to go live this month but the company has rescheduled it to early 2016 instead, according to Windows Central. This upcoming testing event will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" is set to come out on March 8 next year. According to CrossMap, the final version of the game will feature a new player status called Rogue Mode, which can be achieved through the Dark Zone player-vs.-player matches.
As explained by Ubisoft, players will level up to this status for a limited time only by killing other characters. The more enemies they kill, the longer they'll stay in Rogue Mode. They will then receive special rewards if they get to finish a match as a Rogue.
