A&E has officially renewed "Bates Motel" Season 4 with 10 episode run set to premiere around March 2016. With that being said, Damon Gupton joins the cast to play as Dr. Gregg Edwards. Then Nestor Carbonell teases details about the upcoming installment.
A&E Network officially ordered 2 more seasons with a 10-episode run for "Bates Motel" and as mentioned on Cinema Blend, the network has announced that the psycho-based series has been renewed for seasons 4 and 5. It has also been reported that the 5th installment will be its last season to air on TV.
In more news, Damon Gupton officially joins the cast of "Bates Motel" Season 4 to portray the recurring character of Dr. Gregg Edwards. According to Deadline, Dr. Gregg Edwards is a medical practitioner at Pineview Mental Institution who walks a fine line between professional curiosity and personal investment towards the life of his patients. Gupton recently starred on NBC's "The Player" and Fox's "Empire".
Meanwhile, Nestor Carbonell revealed what the fans should expect in the upcoming season 4 of "Bates Motel". Carbonell stated, "Like many of the shows I get to do, it's pretty tight-lipped. All I can say, is it'll have to be big. There's a lot of payoff. There's been a lot of set up until now, so there will be a payoff."
Regarding the show's lead actor, Carbonell added, "We saw Norman's (Freddie Highmore) descent already clearly happening especially through the 2nd half of last season so we'll see more of that to come, no doubt about it." Design and Trend reports.
As of now, "Bates Motel" is currently filming for season 4. The 4th installment is set to premiere around March 2016 exclusively on A&E. "Bates Motel" is an American drama-thriller TV series based on the "Psycho" prequel. The A&E series is developed by Carlton Cuse, Kerry Ehrin, and Anthony Cipriano.
