"New Girl" season 5 casted Megan Fox and reports say her character will make things difficult for Schmidt. Hannah Simone, the actress playing the role of Cece, also teased in a recent interview that she and Schmidt will be getting engaged.
According to Gazette Standard, the upcoming season premiere of "New Girl" will be focusing on Schmidt, Winston and Nick showing off their Bollywood dance moves while one of them is naked. It is unclear who among the three it is though.
But what is more explosive is when Fox's character, Reagan, will be introduced. She will be taking the place of Zoe Deschanel for a couple of episodes since she is on a maternity leave. In a recent interview with Simone, she shared, "In our first episode we shot together they threw us in the shower together, so we got to know each other pretty quick. Cece and Reagan, Megan's character, have a bit of a past. So yes, her character definitely shakes things up," Press Telegraph shared.
As for Schmidt having a difficult time having Reagan around, Fox shared that he is insecure and possessive of the new character on the show. No details about this have been released yet.
Fox has joined the series as a pharmaceutical sales representative subletting the room of Jess since she is somewhere else due to her vice principal duties.
Realty Today also reported that Simone talked about her character and Schmidt getting engaged. She shared, "It's been really fun. The writers kind of kept Cece and Schmidt in that will-they-won't-they world for a few years now and the fact that we can now just be together and dive into those storylines, that's been really exciting because you get to focus on other things."
Simone also teased that in one of the episodes of "New Girl" Season 5, she will be trying to find the perfect wedding dress for her big day. However, it won't be her best friend Jess who will be with her but instead, she will ask Winston to go with her.
