The OnePlus X smartphone that was just launched last October 2015 is now getting a new update, the OxygenOS 2.1.3 version over the air (OTA).This update fixes some issues when using Chrome browser.
According to International Business Times, the firmware update that currently hits the Oneplus X devices now is a hotfix patch for 2.1.3 where the YouTube playback issues as well as the keyboard lag in Google Chrome are being addressed. The users will be asked for to grant the permission to download and install this update which has 20MB size while connected to Wi-Fi in order to avoid data overages or incur charges.
The OnePlus X enthused ton of interest and since its latest update is now being installed, this could make the smartphone even more appealing despite that it hasn't been in the high-end segment of the smartphone market. This smartphone comes packed with 16GB of internal storage that can be extended up to 128GB through a microSD card. The OnePlus X runs on Android 5.1.1 and has a 2525mAh non removable battery that keeps its light on. It weighs 138.00 grams and measures 140.00 x 69.00 x 6.90 (height x width x thickness).
Other information from International Business Times says that the first OnePlus smartphone to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in March 2016 would be its flagship OnePlus 2. On the other hand, the OnePlus X was reported to be the company's next smartphone that will receive this latest mobile OS update, however, this is yet to be confirmed.
The previous update that this ONePlus X device had received was the OxygenOS 2.1.2 which improved the OnePlus X camera app, increased OTA stability etc. Now the smartphone is receiving the latest update OxygenOS 2.1.3 and the company has noted that it will roll out the update to a small percentage first in order to check whether the OTA system is working right.
