Capcom has teased what was now a revolving rumor regarding the remaster of the Resident Evil 7 game. Accordingly, they revealed that the game is going to be more horrifying and gruesome than ever.
While NSEA Voice doubtedly reveals that they are not expecting Resident Evil 7 to be terrifying, they hope to be proven wrong. According to them, one way to restore the element of horror to the game is by reintroducing old villains to act as boss fights. The site further opined that it would be easy to bring back the memorable experience from William Birkin in the entire Resident Evil series due to his fearsome character.
Moreover, the game is also rumored to utilize the Unreal Engine 4 to power Resident Evil 7. Such would be a good engine considering the palette of Japanese games which already used it as a platform, as opined by Daily Sun. Hoping that the franchise shall continue to get back to its zombie basics, the site also expressed its opinion that if there is one thing which Capcom has gotten right, it would be the remake of Resident Evil games. The franchise undoubtedly has reached the status of classic in its golden days with the first games. However, the many iterations, the franchise might just had lost its way.
Meanwhile, further rumors say that the remake of Resident Evil 7 may just arrive with VR horror. If it would be confirmed to be true, then it could bring the zombies up close and personal, which would be terrifying to gamers in a positive way. Making the gamer believe that a zombie is just right behind him might just bring back the old Resident Evil horror they have been longing for. Gazette Dubai further reveals that the VR technology used in Resident Evil 7 will be an intellectual property of Capcom who, right now, is strictly keeping secrets to themselves.
As of now, there is still a shortage of news or updates regarding Resident Evil 7 other than rumors, speculations, and opinions, as Capcom had been carefully trying to make details remain secret. What is certain is that fans are desperately longing for the long lost Resident Evil horror, which gives the developers a chance to fix things for the Resident Evil 7 remake.
