LG G4 is crystal clear about its upgrade to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, as some models already receive test run in some parts of the world. As announced, the Marshmallow build began to roll out before the year 2015 ended.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to be released on retail or unlocked LG G4 smartphones in the US beginning January 2016. Carrier versions under T-Mobile, AT&T, US Cellular, Bell, Verizon, Sprint and Virgin Mobile are slated to come on a later date.
Although, there has been no official word for the release yet as the South Korean giant kept mum. The roll out has been seen imminent in the US as Marshmallow already began to be tested in the Asian and European regions, beginning in South Korea.
LG was first reported preparing for the upgrade when T-Mobile blatantly revealed that it was then undergoing the manufacturer development stage. In this phase, the carrier agrees to support the new build for the device.
LG G4 is now all set for the official over-the-air (OTA) update of Android 6.0 Marshmallow which will bring in already popular new features due to reviews and teasers. Some of them include Google Now's Now on Tap addition, battery manager called Doze and fingerprint support.
The original equipment manufacturer also confirmed the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade to G3, G Stylo and G Flex 2. G2 unfortunately was not able to make it to the cut and is currently running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
