The comedy "Jane The Virgin" was nominated in the Golden Globe Awards 2016 as Gina Rodriguez was part of the nominees under the Best Actress in a TV series category. As for the spoilers of the series, it has been reported that Rafael and Jane will get reprimanded by Santa.
International Business Times shared that the next episode of "Jane The Virgin" will be an explosive Christmas Special which is also the mid-season finale of the series. The mid-season finale aired three weeks after the show was on hiatus. For the next episode entitled "Chapter 30," Jane and Rafael will be struggling to plan the first Christmas of baby Mateo.
Jane and Rafael did not have a good relationship since their falling out in the previous episode and in the episode 8 trailer of "Jane The Virgin," the two of them could be seen bickering as they wait for their turn for Mateo to be introduced to Santa at the local mall.
In the video, Santa says, "Ho, ho, ho. Santa's got some pretty strict rules about mommies and daddies fighting at the North Pole." Jane then answers back saying that Santa should stay out of their fight. The family then takes a photo with Santa and it looks very glum due to the earlier incident.
Christian Post also reported that Jane will be having more problems as she will be receiving bad news regarding the scholarship she applied for. She then has to find a way to finance her way through graduate school using her own money.
The official synopsis also says: "Rogelio has employed an intern and is having trouble trusting him. Petra is struggling with the latest dilemma her mother has gotten them into. Meanwhile, Michael is trying to find Luisa's mother who he now suspects is not dead and may be involved with Sin Rostro."
As for the Golden Globe Awards 2016, The Washington Post shared that Gina Rodriguez, the actress playing the role of Jane in "Jane The Virgin," was nominated for Best Actress in a TV series, Comedy. She is going against Julia Louis-Dreyfus from "Veep," Lily Tomlin from "Grace & Frankie," Jamie Lee Curtis from "Scream Queens," and Rachel Bloom from "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."
"Jane The Virgin" Season 2 will see Rafael and Jane bickering during Mathew's first Christmas. The series' next episode will be aired on December 14 on The CW.
