Sprint versions of Moto X Pure Edition are heading out to the official over-the-air update of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Motorola has just confirmed earlier that it has already established ties with the mobile carrier to support the most refined Android software in history.
Moto X Pure Edition owners under Sprint should now be rejoicing, as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade is officially confirmed to be released to the device anytime soon. According to David Schuster, senior director of software product management for Motorola, the official roll out will commence after the soak test will completely be undertaken.
Soak test is one of the most recent activities of the brand, sparking speculations that the upgrade is indeed coming very soon. Per evaluation of some reports, the soak test has been quick as normally as it would for Motorola.
Schuster took his Google Plus account to publicly announce the plans of his company regarding software updates. The Marshmallow soak test began in early November with Moto X Play in Brazil and India and Moto X Force in Brazil.
The same upgrade is also set to hit the Moto X Pure Edition units of US Cellular, AT&T and Verizon Wireless. By far, only these three mobile carriers in the United States have revealed their support for the software. T-Mobile, Bell and Vodafone remained mum about their plans until now.
Meanwhile, Motorola has not promised to give out the most unique and most useful native feature compared to other brands but certainly is up for something that will blow its users away.
Aside from the already popular features like Doze and Now on Tap, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in improvements that would surely contribute to a better Moto X Pure Edition experience.
Last December 8, the brand already emphasized in its website that it primarily aims at giving phone users a 'less is more' approach. It added that avoiding bloatware and skins is on top of their priority list.
