The controversial Resident Evil 2 Remake has been talked about for the longest time, as many fans of the series can agree. However, as the fad of re-mastered games has come forth, Capcom's zombie horror survival title has other things in mind-and they look to clarify what the reality is behind it.
As reported by PC Gamer, a recent possible misinterpretation was addressed by Capcom, as there have been consistent news of it being something else. The anticipated Resident Evil 2 Remake has set itself on the hot seat for a full-on discussion, and surely, Capcom will draw the picture that it wants the fans to see.
Delivered by IGN, Stuart Turner, Capcom UK's Senior Marketing Director, said that there are those who picked up a rather unclear translation of the title, and has officially confirmed that Resident Evil 2 Remake is a complete remake of the title from the ground up, and not a remaster as what many think. This will be prove to be more favorable to the fans that look to get a whole new experience out of the refurbished title, compared to simply painting an old game gold in order to make it sell.
According to Game Spot, Resident Evil 2 Remake was announced back in August 12, and has been in line for the Resident Evil games that are to come forth since then. Moreover, Producer of Resident Evil HD Remaster, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, declared that the support from the fans of the series have made the project possible.
Hirabayashi was quoted, "You've been telling us for years that you want Resident Evil 2 to be remade, and we haven't been able to make it happen... until now," "We at R&D Division 1 will do our best to take on your feedback and deliver the gameplay experience you've been waiting for."
The Resident Evil 2 Remake is still on its rather early stages of development, and Capcom has not been able to tell yet when the game will be out, let alone where it stands. Fans can rest assured that it will deliver as good as its predecessors, and will bring the essence of the zombie horror franchise along with it, such as the recently launched Resident Evil HD Remaster.
