Lamar Odom thankfully dodged death, but reports claim that the former athlete is struggling to get back on his own feet. Reality TV superstar, Khloe Kardashian, still remains by his estranged husband's side especially now that he's allegedly forgetting his own name.
Odom has been receiving treatment at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, following a reported alcohol and drugs binge that made him collapse in a Las Vegas brothel in October. While he regained back his consciousness, the former NBA star has still not fully regained his senses.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres last month, Khloe Kardashian revealed Odom's health crisis.
"It's a long, long road ahead." Kardashian said. "He's learning how to walk again and feed himself again and put sentences together, and cognitively there's a lot."
To date, Odom's speech is reportedly still slurred. The once fit athlete can barely walk on his own and he purportedly forgets people's names, even his own. His brain evidently suffered the consequence of his substance abuse resulting to memory loss.
Khloe, who has temporarily halted her divorce proceedings with Lamar in light of his health status, has no obligation whatsoever to stay by his side. But she has chosen to help out his former lover, as she gives thanks to her new boyfriend. Khloe has been gushing in public how her new partner, James Harden, is very mature and open-minded on the whole Lamar thing, lessening her burden.
Speaking of burden, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has recently shared on her social media account how she feels so stressed in this period of time.
"This year has been absolutely horrible, but it's almost done. I'm just praying that 2016 will be better. It has to be."
After complaining about her stressful life, Khloe then left some inspiration for her fans sharing how she copes up through all the tedious events. The 31-year-old stated that her best relievers are going to the gym, praying to God and spending time with her nephew, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's son, Saint West.
As it is, with Lamar's rather slow recovery, Khloe Kardashian may have to extend her patience just until her almost-ex-husband can walk, eat, and survive on his own.
