Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and more retail stores to extend sale until New Year

Walmart and other big retailers added new discounted items for its promotion after the Black Friday deal. The stores extended its promotion in the celebration of the National Mobile Purchase Day. These items include smartphones, tablets, TVs, games and gaming systems.

iDigital Times mentioned that the promotion was held on December 14, Green Monday. In terms of the retail store's revenue, Golin, a marketing company that represents Walmart, said in the report that the mobile traffic for Walmart has increased by 300 percent since 2012. Other stores like Digital Sales also rose 10% of its revenue. Amazon also generated 36% of all online sales in the U.S. In this regard, Fortune noted that Green Monday is the third biggest spending day for the holiday season. In fact, shoppers spent $1.6 billion on Green Monday last year for the said event.

Some notable deals in Walmart were listed in the related report, such as Samsung Galaxy S4 under Verizon Prepaid service for $199 only. Another, were RCA 16GB 7-inch tablet with keyboard case for $49.99,16GB Apple iPad Mini 2 for $199, and RCS Viking Pro 10.1 inches 32GB, Quad Core Tablet for $79.99. More so, the big chain store provided discounts for Sceptre X505BV-F 50" 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV for $329 and Sony KDL-32R300C 32" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV for $198. The sale also included PlayStation 4 Star Wars, ESPN Premium 2-Player Basketball Game, and Star Wars Legendary Jedi Master Yoda Figure.

This year Amazon joined the Green Monday sale again. It sold $25 off of the Fire TV Gaming Edition, $59.99 Kindle eReader, $99.99 Kindle Paperwhite, and $79.99 Kindle Kids bundle. Best Buy also did not disappoint its customers, as the retail store offered $300 off select Surface Pro 3, up to $300 off MacBook Air or iMac, $199 Beats wired headphones, and $379.99 Toshiba 55" HDTV, Examiner reported.

The extension of deals from Black Friday to Green Monday depict that customers can expect for more sales this coming Christmas and New Year. For those who are interested, it is better to check the retail store's official website or visit the store itself to determine more items on sale.
