Xbox Two happening; Microsoft's Phil Spencer confirms Xbox One not the last gaming console

By

Its been years since the release of the Xbox One in 2013, and with the lack of official details from Microsoft, talks about a potential successor were still not guaranteed. However, Microsoft head Phil Spencer recently expressed his commitment to keeping Xbox fans happy and revived rumors that Xbox 2 might already be on its way.

Although Xbox One received good response from its consumers selling $10 million units since its release a couple of years ago, Christian Post reported that Microsoft's gaming console did not outperform its current biggest rival, the Sony Playstation 4. The latter sold $30 million units which is more than twice the sales of Xbox One.

However if Phil Spencer's statement is to be followed, Microsoft might not be planning to slow down as they the Microsoft head confirmed that Xbox One will not be the last console they will release.

"I fully expect that you'll see another console from us [...] Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I'm 100% committed to that", Spencer said as reported by Tech Radar.

While Spencer did not give away the specifics of the next gaming console, he said that they are eyeing to expand the brand's features to more consumers. "I don't want to dilute what the Xbox console customer feels. I want to expand what we're able to do for more customers.", he stated.

Moreover, as reported by N4BB, current rumors surrounding the gaming console suggest that it could be released in 2019 and is currently in development in Microsoft. The Xbox Two is also speculated to be released with 4K resolution and backwards compatibility feature.

However, it is worth noting that Microsoft has not revealed official details on the console's price, features, and release thus rumors must be treated with a grain of salt. More details about the Xbox Two will be reported as they come.
