B.A.P Ends Legal Disputes with TS Entertainment; Returns with Fourth Mini-Album ‘Matrix’

By

B.A.P has finally reached an agreement with TS Entertainment in regards to their court battle and made their comeback with the same company after a long hiatus with their fourth mini album "Matrix" which was released on November 16th after a very much-anticipated wait.

It has been almost two years since B.A.P, a six-membered South Korean hip hop boy group, sued their management company TS Entertainment in November of last year to terminate their contract, citing slave contract and unfair income distribution. However, the management company has announced that the boy group has officially returned to the agency on August 1st.

The official press release by TS Entertainment stated that, "Since the problem occurred on November 11th 2014, we have prioritized solving the issue and made our best effort to recover the trust with B.A.P. Through our series of numerous communication trials and heartfelt efforts, we finally recovered the trust of each other and B.A.P returned to TS Entertainment on August 1, 2015."

B.A.P's fourth mini-album, "Matrix," expresses the foundation and form of the way an individual and society grows. The mini-album contains a total of five songs and it particularly holds a special meaning for the group and their fans, as it was produced by leader Bang Yong Guk whilst all the members also took part in writing and composing for the album.

Ultimately, fans around the globe were overjoyed with B.A.P's return. Just a week after dropping their fourth mini- album, "Matrix" topped Gaon's physical album chart, the national chart of South Korea, and also rose to third place on "Billboard's World Album Chart".

This was not their first album to chart as B.A.P's debut album "Warrior" previously charted at tenth place, while mini-albums "One Shot" and "Badman" and their first full-length album "First Sensibility" had all risen to the first place spot.

Commendably, "Matrix" was also 14th on the World Wide iTunes Album Chart the day after its release. In addition, "Young, Wild, & Free," a comeback track crammed with rock-pop stadium-shaking choruses and lyrics packed with proclamations of freedom, solidarity and strength landed 13th place on Dazed Digitals "Top 20 K-pop Tracks of 2015".

Meanwhile, the group is currently promoting with the "Matrix" title track "Young, Wild, & Free". With the group reportedly preparing for their upcoming concert in Seoul, the fans are crossing fingers that B.A.P's legal battle with TS Entertainment has already become water under the bridge to not let it be an obstacle to the group's rising career as powerful idols.
