'Finding Carter' Coming to an End? Season 3 Likely Cancelled by MTV Due to Poor Ratings

MTV may not renew "Finding Carter" for season 3 due to its poor viewership. While EP Emily Whitesell talks about what fans should expect as the series returns. For fans who missed Season 2 finale, a recap has also been included here.

Possibilities suggest that MTV may not order a 3rd installment for "Finding Carter" due to its low household ratings. Carter Matt notes that the series dropped 2/3 of its viewers and 3/5 on the demographic.

Meanwhile, executive producer Emily Whitesell discussed with The Hollywood Reporter what fans should expect in "Finding Carter" if the show ever returns for season 3. Whitesell stated, "I don't personally think that the audience would be hugely interested in watching a giant legal battle with Max on TV. But we all care deeply about Max and what would happen to him.

The beauty of this is, essentially, depending on how we want to go back and retell details of the story beyond what we've seen, the idea that he didn't mean to do it. It was an accident and he was trying to protect someone."

He also added saying, "And as we know from this show, there are a lot of ways that a trial could go. So we have a lot of choices about how to deal with it from the emotional feelings that Max would have about the whole thing and legally as well."

For a previous Season 2 finale recap, Celebrity Dirty Laundry has mentioned that a shocking event left Carter unsure about Jared. While Ben faced the fruit of his past wrongdoings. Bird on the other hand, faced a personal crisis of losing a loved one.

Speculations suggest that "Finding Carter" Season 3 will return anytime soon in 2016 exclusively on MTV. The fate of Carter's long-lost brother Ben Winchell will be featured if "Finding Carter" will return for Season 3.

"Finding Carter" is an American teen drama TV series created by Emily Whitesell and developed by Terry Minsky.
