Xiaomi Mi5 monster specs, price revealed on Oppomart’s website

The next flagship Xiaomi Mi5 from the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi was reported to be the first smartphone to sport the Snapdragon 820 processor. On Oppomart's website, some of the features that this flagship offers have been revealed.

According to NDTV gadgets, the upcoming flagship Xiaomi Mi5 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display. The Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.5GHz which is the recently announced octa-core from Qualcomm will be the one to provide power for this new flagship smartphone along with 4GB of RAM. This will be able to purchase in three versions that come in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB.

Furthermore, a report from GSM Arena has cited that a boasting 20MP back snapper and a selfie camera that sports an 8MP will be experienced in this new Xiaomi Mi5. This smartphone could have a 3,800 mAh battery that will keep its light on. In addition, this will also reportedly work on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

A recent leak found in China UnionPay has provided an indication that the feature of NFC along with support for the new local "Cloud Lightening Pay" platform will most likely be included on this upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. Moreover, the Xiaomi Mi5 will be seen available in classic black and white color options.

The Xiaomi Mi5 is being speculated about having its release date before the end of this year or even in early 2016. Nevertheless, Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi has given its warning during the company's forums and it is stated that the Xiaomi Mi5 won't be rushed to arrive with the first wave of Snapdragon 820-laden phones that are scheduled to be revealed in Q1, writes Phone Arena.

As for the price, the listing has also provided that the Xiaomi Mi5 flagship smartphone is currently set at $599. However, this just a preliminary and could even be changed.
