Hollywood supercouple, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, continues to face marriage troubles. The two may be married but it looks like they're living their individual lives fairly well and without each other's care.
Just recently, scandalous rumors broke out purporting George Clooney to have almost slept with his long-time friend's wife, Cindy Crawford. Crawford shared the story in which she mistook Clooney for her husband who is sleeping in the guest room. The former model recounted that had she not turned on the lights, she would have fallen asleep right there with Clooney.
Though Crawford revealed this incident just for fun, rumor has it that this rather humorous but highly awkward incident didn't sit well with Alamuddin. In fact, according to International Business Times, the Human Rights Lawyer purportedly insulted the supermodel in a passive-aggressive note as she compared Cindy's looks to that of Caitlyn Jenner's. It seems that despite the efforts of good buddies, Clooney and Gerber, to bring their wives together, the two are not connecting at all.
However, this is not the first time that Amal has not taken any effort to cover her own indifference or distaste to George's friends or associates. It has been noted how the lawyer is being labelled as an elitist by some of George's celeb buddies. Not only does Amal not show up on George's hosted parties, but she really just keeps to herself, uncaring of making any rapport with her husband's connections.
Meanwhile, Amal recently launched a scholarship program in partnership with 100 Lives. The human rights barrister aims to help young Lebanese women to avail educational opportunities, Huffington Post reports.
Also, George Clooney doesn't lose to his wife when it comes to humanitarian projects. According to Third Force News, the superstar just launched a Social Bite Christmas Campaign aimed to raise funds to feed homeless people in Scotland on Christmas Day.
It looks like this power couple is doing all they can to help those in need. As admirable as it is, hopefully they don't forget to invest in their marriage and make things work. As for Amal, hopefully she learns to accept and adapt to the celebrity world where her husband lives, or risk unravelling ties that could've kept them closer.
