Oprah Winfrey Purchased the Histrionic Mining Tunnel Mansion worth $14 million

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, the former talk show host of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Oprah Winfrey, spent 14 million on Telluride's most histrionic mining tunnel house.

It was first listed for $15 million back in 2009. According to Curbed Ski, it has 5-bedrooms with 6.5 bath mansion in South-Western Colorado, with an asking price of $13.75 million back in 2014. It also has a hot tub with glass walls that opens in front of the forest that accommodates up to 7 persons, has 6 decks, an exercise spa with a hot tub and sauna, including a game room with a wet bar and pool table, guest house and a glassed-in tower with the view of the San Sophia Range.

Also, there is a 56-foot-long tunnel mine shaft in the basement where the 1,600 wine bottles are stored. Moreover, an antique ore cart on tracks with lights that are computerized to glimmer like a lantern and sound effects like creaking wood and soaking water piped in.

Furthermore, this property has a private steel funicular that is made to mimick an old mining car that can carry 4 people, that begins from the house to the Sundance ski run.

Although, the 8,706 square foot house was not on the market when it was sold last week, Oprah was looking for a place to stay while she put up a new house on the 60 acres of land she purchased in Telluride's Mountain Village in 2014.

Tech entrepreneur, Bob Wall, had the house custom-built in 2001, and he naturally filled the mansion with elegant features and most of the home's systems are automatically controlled. Isn't it incredible? It feels like heaven when you own this kind of house.

We can say that the price is worth it, as staying in the house can really be a relaxing experience and relieve a person's stress.
