"I feel like Justin Beiber."
Johnny Football is feeling like a rock star. With all the media frenzy he is receiving, Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel said that the spotlight he currently experiences is "10 times brighter and 10 times hotter" than months ago.
Recently, his exit from a high school prospect football camp ignited the media's interest in him. During the press conference at the Southeastern Conference Media Days in Hoover, Alabama, the famous quarterback denied allegations of being too drunk and too hung-over to attend.
"I haven't done anything like that," referring to his misdemeanors in the past. "I'm still growing up. I'm still learning from that," Manziel said.
Manziel played for the Texas A&M football team in the National Collegiate Athletics Association. According to the Birmingham Business Journal, the going rate for college football equals to about US$2.5 million for every win. College football teams in the country's major conferences, including the Southeastern, spent US$2.46 million for every victory on average in the past three years.
