Jerry Seinfeld's multi-million dollar Porsche collections up for auction at Amelia Island Auction in Florida in March

Some of Jerry Seinfeld's multi-million dollar car collection will be auctioned at the Amelia Island Auction in Florida on March 11. Gooding & Co. will auction three of the comedian's Porsches.

According to CNN, Gooding and Company spokesperson Tyler Gagnon said the sports cars that will be auctioned represent 10 percent of Seinfeld's collection. However, there are no official reports on how many of the comedian's cars will be auctioned. One of Seinfeld's most expensive cars is the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, which could sell up to $6 million.

Besides the Spyder, Classic Cars reported that Seinfeld's 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster will also be up for sale at an estimated value of up to $2.5 million. The auction will also feature his 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR, which could sell up to $1.5 million. Gagnon said, "There will be many more than just these three."

CNBC wrote that Jerry Seinfeld described his Porsches as the most "humanistic" among the rest of the sports cars out there. "Most high-end sports cars remind me of Halloween costumes," he said. "A Porsche feels like a warm, round pebble in your hand. ... Even the shape and the face of a Porsche carry some human-like elements."

Seinfeld said he didn't buy the Porsches as an investment. He doesn't even consider himself a collector. He said he simply loves cars. He is selling some of the cars in his collection to bring them back to the world and let other people enjoy the experience of driving these wonderful cars.

His cars will sell at prices far higher than what he initially paid for, due to the increasing value of Porsches in the past several years. Other reasons why his cars would be sold at very high prices are because his name is attached to them and the way he meticulously restored them.
