Nate Robinson will be signing a two-year contract with the Denver Nuggets. Robinson agreed to the deal Monday, according to a person knowledgeable about the negotiations.
The former Bulls player will be earning US$4.03 million during his stay with the new team. In addition, Robinson also had a player option which he can avail of in his second year. The NBA set its salary cap for the 2013-2014 season at US$56.678 million, with tax level at US$71.748 million.
Regarding his decision to move from Chicago Bulls to Denver Nuggets, Robinson wrote tweeted, "I know the nba is a Business but when u build friendships with guys on the team it's hard to say goodbye ... Thanks again chitown one love."
Robinson joined Ty Lawson, providing the Nuggets a pair that can "zoom up and down" the court. However, the new addition also created a backlog in the back court. Nuggets already had Evan Fournier, Andre Miller, Erick Green, and Randy Foye. Also, the Nuggets hired a Tim Connelly as the team's new general manager.
