West Virginia Centenarian Zan White Will Not Change His Habits
When asked by the TV station what his secret to a long life was, Zan White said he did not know how or why he'd lived this long, but he would not change his habits as he got older.
"I've been coming here for 36 years, I can't stop now," he noted. White served as a radar repairman during World War II and spent almost his entire life living in Elkins, near the state's borders with Maryland and Virginia.
McDonald's area supervisor Mark Godwin told WDTV that he believes White's longevity is related to the restaurant.
"It's definitely coming to McDonald's every morning and having McDonald's coffee," Godwin noted.
"I've seen Zan every morning pretty much for the 24 years I've been working; it's a joy to see him every morning. It's one of the highlights of my day," he added."
