Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is reportedly aligning with Donald Trump to assist the former president in his fundraising efforts ahead of the November 2024 presidential election.

According to The Washington Post, the collaboration comes after a period of tension between Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump during the latter's presidency, marked by public disagreements and sharp exchanges. 

Despite this history, the two met on Sunday morning at the Shell Bay Club near Miami, Florida. Sources familiar with the recent meeting between DeSantis and Trump told the Washington Post that it was friendly, and the Florida governor agreed to help the former president with his presidential campaign fundraising after several hours of talking. 

Florida real estate investor and developer Steve Witkoff, the meeting's facilitator, also attended the gathering between the two prominent Republican figures.
