Four teenagers have been charged following their alleged involvement in the theft of luxury cars, which resulted in a dramatic pursuit by law enforcement on the Gold Coast in Australia.
Teens Allegedly Steal Luxury Cars, Police Track Down Chase
Two males, ages 15 and 16, are accused of s.ealing a Maserati Grecale and a Porsche Macan from a residence in Broadbeach Waters at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday.
According to NCA NewsWire, two vehicles were observed traveling east on the Logan Motorway while a police helicopter monitored their movement as they headed southbound onto the M1 Motorway.
Officers inside the vehicle arrested two teens. A police officer swiftly approached the vehicle and removed one of the young individuals from the driver's side.
The Porsche stopped in Arundel shortly after that, resulting in the apprehension of two more individuals. A policeman was seen on camera sprinting up to the car and removing one of the kids from the driver's side.
A short while later, the Porsche came to a stop in Arundel, and two more young people were placed under arrest. The expensive Lamborghini was captured on camera, tearing down the freeway and dodging other vehicles.
The teens were forced to escape the Porsche when it became a dead end, and in dramatic moment, they were apprehended by police.
Teens Charged for Property Damage, Reckless Driving
The teenagers faced charges related to property damage and reckless driving.
A 15-year-old boy from Coomera has been charged with multiple offenses, including entering dwellings, unlawfully using a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlicensed driving, and possession of a dangerous drug.
Yet another 15-year-old boy from Coomera has been charged with entering a dwelling and unlawfully using a motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old boy from Oxenford has been charged with multiple offenses, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, entering a dwelling, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and driving without a license.
A 16-year-old boy from Pimpama has been charged with unlawfully using a motor vehicle. All four individuals are scheduled to appear in Southport Children's Court on Monday.
