Some Social Security recipients who typically receive their payments in the second week of the month may experience a delay and receive their payments next week instead.

The Social Security Administration distributes benefits to retired Americans, individuals with disabilities, and surviving family members of deceased claimants.

Social Security Payment Dates Vary in June

Due to the various payment categories and many recipients, payment dates may vary for individuals each month.

According to Fox Business, Social Security payments for certain retired Americans are typically issued during the second week of the month.

However, this month, retirees with birthdays falling between the first and 10th can expect to receive their payment in the third week of June, specifically on June 12.

With June starting on a Saturday, the payment is set to be made during the third week of the month.

Contrary to popular belief, recipients are not experiencing any delays. Individuals whose birthdays fall within the initial 10 days of the month can consistently expect their payments to be disbursed on the second Wednesday.

Double Payments in November

The consecutive Retirees should not mistake May deposits as extra money; they are simply early payments for the following month. November will also be a month where two payments are due, as December 1 falls on a Sunday.

There will be further disruptions to SSI payments in 2025. The initial days of January, February, and March all coincide with holidays or weekends, WEHT via MSN reported.

Based on the agency's payment calendar, the benefits for January will be distributed on December 31st, followed by February's benefits a month later, and March's benefits on February 28th. Payments for the month of March will not be issued.

No matter the timing of the SSI payments, recipients can rest assured that they will receive their complete benefits consistently throughout the year.
