On Thursday, June 6, the Food and Drug Administration announced the Juul ban reversal, saying that the e-cigarette brand is back under agency review. The American regulatory agency explained why it reversed the ban order against Juul.
Juul Ban Reversal Announced by FDA
According to NBC News' latest report, the FDA confirmed that the ban against Juul e-cigarettes has been reversed. However, the new agency review status means that the vape brand will fully be cleared.
"Today, the FDA rescinded the MDOs issued in June 2022 to JUUL Labs, Inc. This action is being taken, in part, as a result of the new case law, as well as the FDA's review of information provided by the applicant," said the Food and Drug Administration.
FDA clarified that the MDO rescission isn't doesn't indicate whether the applications are to be denied or authorized. Because of this, the rescission of FDA's MDOs or marketing denial orders returned the applications to pending status.

Juul Thanked FDA
Juul said that it appreciated the decision of the Food and Drug Administration to reverse the ban on its e-cigarettes. The company added that it is looking forward to re-engaging with the regulatory agency on science and evidence-based processes.
Juul said that it is willing to cooperate with the FDA so that it can pursue marketing authorization for its products. The vape brand said that it remains confident in its applications' quality and substance.
It said that a complete review of evidence will show that its products meet the statutory standard of being appropriate for public health protection.
