Supporters of U.S. presidential candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump engage in rival fundraising events in London, as reported by CNBC.
Donald Trump Jr. and Brexit figurehead Nigel Farage headline a Republican gathering organized by former Australian soap star Holly Valance. Surprisingly, a large amount of $2 million was raised following recent legal decisions involving Trump.
Meanwhile, across town, Anna Wintour hosts a Democratic dinner, suggesting a quieter event emphasizing smaller contributions. Biden's fundraising dinner is expected to charge around $1,000 per plate, with a separate comedy night fundraiser organized by Democrats Abroad offering tickets priced at $40 to $50.

Biden and Trump's Fundraising
Both President Biden and former President Trump have strong fundraising networks ahead of the US elections, and their campaigns typically engage in extensive fundraising efforts leading up to the actual voting day.
According to USA Today, Timothy Mellon is the biggest single donor in the 2024 presidential race, supporting Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy. Jr. Mellon donated $15 million to super PACs (Political Action Committee) backing Trump and Kennedy, bringing his contributions to over $50 million this election cycle.
Regarding fundraising, Trump's campaign announced that it would raise $76 million in April, while Biden's campaign raised $51 million during the same period.
Trump's main super PAC, Make America Great Again Inc., has raised about $110 million this election cycle. In contrast, main Biden-backing super PACs supported by individuals like George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Fred Eychaner, and more have raised over $120 million.
While Trump seems to have already amassed massive funds, it's worth noting that Biden still holds a substantial cash advantage overall.
