A British businessman tragically ended his wife's life in a devastating murder-suicide following a heated argument believed to be related to text messages.
British Oil Exec Kills Wife, Then Himself in Ankara Tragedy
David Thomas Blyth tragically took the life of his wife Victoria Vera Blyth at their home in Ankara, Turkey, on Tuesday, June 11.
It is believed that the owner of international oil company ASG Inspection, aged 53, committed a tragic act by allegedly murdering his 40-year-old partner and then taking his own life.
According to a Turkish newspaper, Hurriyet, it was suggested that Blyth, who is originally from Edinburgh, shot his wife following a disagreement about text messages, The Sun reported.
The nature of the messages being reported remains unclear, and the investigation is still ongoing.
According to local media, the three kids, aged four, ten, as well as 14, were in the house at the time of the incident. They have now been placed in the care of their mother's family, who traveled to Turkey after the tragedy.

The couple got married in 2014 and resided in Prague for a number of years before relocating to Turkey due to Blyth's professional commitments in the Middle East.
