Walmart will hold its Deals sale from July 8 to 11, a week before Amazon's Prime Day.
It is understood that the retailer claimed it to be the "largest deals event ever," with sales and discounts expected to rival Black Friday.
Entertainment Tonight reported that the Walmart Deals event would begin at 17:00 Eastern Time (21:00 UTC) on July 8, and everyone would be able to score deals on selected items regardless of whether or not they hold a Walmart+ membership, unlike Prime Day, which is only limited to Amazon subscribers.
However, Walmart+ members could get early access to the deals five hours in advance (11:00 ET / 07:00 UTC).
The sale event would end on July 11 at 23:59 ET (03:59 UTC).
CBS and CNET added that the retailer would also run a separate 4th of July suite of deals ahead of the mass discount event. Some of the items include gadgets, furniture, and home essentials.
What Walmart Deals Offer
Those willing to become Walmart+ members in time for the deals sale could sign up for a 30-day free trial to shop the best offers and have first dibs on limited-time deals on selected items.
Normally, an annual Walmart+ membership costs $98, or $49 for qualifying government assistance recipients.
Aside from deals on general goods and electronics, Walmart is also helping parents, teachers, and students get deals on items as the school and college shopping season is set to commence.
Because the Walmart Deals sale is open for everyone, it is expected that it might easily outmaneuver Amazon's Prime Day profit-wise, even if Megan Thee Stallion lent her help promoting it.
