Eras Tour is coming to New Orleans this weekend, and Swifties are finding ways to secure their place before and after attending Taylor Swift's record-breaking tour.
In fact, booking a hotel near Caesar's Superdome may not be easy for fans as most rooms are already occupied to prepare for Swfit's three-night concert.
According to Fox 8, a local fan took action by reserving 20 rooms but ended up booking 190 rooms at Loyal Avenue's Holiday Inn. The hotel was initially hesitant but the marketing team realized the potential impact of Swift's concert and agreed to the reservation.
The New Orleans resident explained that she attended one of Swift's concerts in Arizona and noticed how the costs of hotel rooms spiked due to the insanely high demand from Swifties. To prevent a similar situation from happening to fellow fans in the area, she reserved the rooms at nearly $500 each but assured that she would not be charging extra and would not profit from the bookings.
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour on Local Economy
As with other countries and cities generating millions and billions from Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour, the same can be said for New Orleans. Local tourism predicts that an influx of concertgoers will benefit the entire city, with hotels already fully booked on Friday and Saturday nights. On Sunday, there's about 80% occupancy expected.
WWLTV reported that the impact of Taylor Swift's concerts will extend beyond Downtown areas, and will benefit other neighborhoods like surrounding parishes, Uptown, and Mid-City. They expect that Swifties and fans will be using the city as a base for exploration, which will boost the local economy,
All three nights of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in New Orleans are currently sold-out, and while no definite results are available for its impact, experts believe it will be massively positive for the city.
