Ad optimization startup BoostCTR had announced the closure of USD8 million in Series B funding. BoostCTR uses crowd sourcing and split testing to help businesses find the most effective words and images for their advertisements online.
The round was led by investor Battery Ventures. The latter's general partner Brian O'Malley would also join the board of directors at BoostCTR. The round was also led by its previous investors Western Technology Investment and Javelin Venture Partners. The startup company had now raised a total of USD12 million funding.
After the announcement of the Series C B funding it had raise, BoostCTR said that it hired a new key official to the company. The startup ad optimization firm hired Shawn Kernes as its Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Product. Kernes was previously employed as CTO at BuzzMob. His past employment includes CTO positions at StubHub and BeyondTheRack. He was also Chief Operating Officer at Cash4Gold.
