According to a report by the Christian Science Monitor, Apple would be launching new iPhone products on Tuesday. The launch of the reportedly new iPhones and an updated operating system for mobile would be held in an event on September 10 in Cupertino, California.
A new operating system for mobile called the iOS7 was a hot topic as of late when rumors swirled that high-end security measures would be integrated in the company's new iPhone models. The security measures would reportedly render an iPhone useless once it is stolen. In an earlier presentation, the company said that thieves would find it difficult to wipe data and re-activate the gadget. Apple also added that the new software would help lower incidents of smatphone theft.
One of the reportedly new models, the iPhone 5S, would have a fingerprint scanner that would eliminate the use of passwords and screen lock. A cheaper version of the iPhone called the iPhone 5C generated more buzz particularly in China where iPhones do not have phone subsidy plans. The report also added that the cheaper iPhone model would be Apple's solution to generate bigger sales in China and to gain a much stronger footing in the biggest smartphone market.
Apple gained USD156 billion in annual revenue last 2012. As of March 2013, company value was estimated at USD415 billion, making it the biggest publicly traded corporation in the world by market capitalization.
