Wes Welker admits dressing up as Britney Spears

Wes Welker of the Denver Broncos admitted that there was a time that he dressed up as Britney Spears. Dan Hellie, host of NFL Total Access, dug into Wes Welker's prankster days at the Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City. In an interview today, the wide receiver and return specialist of the Denver Broncos admitted that he had done the prank during a high school pep rally.

Welker was a football star at Hall High School from 1996-2000. During the interview, Welker laughed and said, "Gosh, I'd love to say false there, but I did. I'd love to say false, but they have me on video. I've already bought them off, so you won't be seeing that anytime soon."

Oklahoma's KWTV has the video. The story came up early this year after Welker's former teacher mentioned the prank. Welker's former teacher Betsy Horn said about the skit, "He was a backup dancer. Probably the one that brought the house down with his portrayal of Britney Spears."

Welker's team, the Denver Broncos, is a professional football team. The team is a member of the West Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. In 2011, the Broncos started a partnership with KJMN 92.1 FM, owned by Entravision Communications. The partnership included broadcasting rights for a TV show aired weekly.
